Letter To A Friend Who Needs Enlightenment

I would like to apologize in advance if the following message may sound offensive. As a Christian, I know that it is my duty to bring people much closer to God.

I am aware of what is going on in your life right now, and I could not and should not blame you for everything that is happening. I completely understand you. You do not want any of this to happen, but it happened. My cousins consoled me when I learned that my father had extra marital affairs. They said there is a curse or bondage in our family and that this is our fate. Even if God has forgiven us for our sins, I realized that God will still give us appropriate punishment for our sins because God is just.  It also discourages us to transgress. Adam and Eve committed a very common sin of disobedience that cost them severe punishment. The hard part of it, we also inherited this original sin. This is how God deals with us sinners. A priest told my mother and sisters that if we forgive our father for his sins, the 7 generations before us will be forgiven for their sins, and the curse or bondage will stop for the next 7 generations after us.

I know you love your family, especially your children, so much. And you wouldn’t want them to experience what you are undergoing right now. As a brother, I am asking you to please verbatim pray: “Lord, give me all necessary grace to be holy, and help bring saints to heaven in my lifetime.” Pray this as often as you can, and I believe that God will take care of you.

Yours in Christ!
